Stress is nearly always a perpetuating factor for our clients who are struggling with addictive behaviours. Commonly, recreational alcohol and or drug use has been used to cope with daily stress and has spiralled out of control. Ironically though, alcohol and drugs increase the circulating stress hormones in the body and then these increased levels of stress hormones increase the cravings for alcohol and/or drugs.

Commonly abused drugs such as alcohol, nicotine, cocaine, amphetamines and marijuana all activate the brains stress pathway. Easy to see how a pretty nasty vicious cycle is set up and ultimately leaves the individual in the grip of addiction, when all they wanted was to cope with stress better! Over time, this over stimulation of the bodies stress response leads to: High Blood Pressure Irritable Bowel Syndrome Chronic Fatigue Low Libido Erectile Dysfunction Accumulation of Abdominal Body Fat Poor Sleep Type 2 Diabetes Cravings for sugary and high fat foods Over reliance on caffeine/pro plus, red bull.

Candace and Rebekah-Zillah have created a therapeutic programme including Nutritional Therapy, Hypnotherapy, yoga Therapy and yoga Nidra, Sleep Hygiene and Life and Stress management coaching to help you detox, de-stress, rebalance, refocus and re-energise. This is usually an 8 week course and we ask you to commit to the full 8 weeks to give you the best chance of making the changes you need to make and keeping the changes you have made to bring better peace of mind and inner peace even in a stressful world.
